Risk Indicators are normally used as early warning signals so you can monitor the health of factors related to a risk. Typically a Indicator would be a statistical number, and if it’s above or below an acceptable range it will flag Red, Amber or Green.
With Symbiant’s powerful questionnaires any of the response types can be used as an indicator. So someone could pick a multiple choice response, enter an indicator or a respond to a drop down, they could even enter a date. The response can be whatever is needed.
You can link questions to multiple risks, and then assign the questions to a questionnaire. The questionnaires can be a risk assessment, a survey or part of control testing. When the questionnaires are responded too, the question responses will then show in the KRI tab for that risk.
The risk will show the Key Risk Indicator, which is the aggregate of all the indicators. If You wish, you can see previous responses, to help determine if a pattern is emerging.
With Symbiant You have the added ability to create a category based KRI appetite. So if a risk is linked to that category it will adopt that appetite. Then by using the KRI pie charts you can quickly identify the risks that are “In”, “On”, or outside of that appetite. The charts, also let you filter and find risks based on their current K.R.I rating.
