UK Based Data Centre
Whilst we can host our solution on any continent, by Default we use UK data centres, our provider is “AWS” (Amazon Web Services) with 1&1 IONOS as our backup centre. These are 2 of Europe’s leading providers of cloud based systems and fully compliant to all relevant security and Data protection protocols and ISO 9001, ISO 27001 certification.
So What ?
What this means for you is all the IT issues are taken care of and managed by us. We maintain the software and ensure your data is protected. All you and your users have to do is open your browser, login and use the software. No Headache, No IT issues, Mo Mess and No fuss.
Can we host the software on our own servers?
No, our system uses advanced cloud security functions that are not available on corporate infrastructures. Symbiant can only be hosted in specialist environments such as AWS.
Can we cancel or upgrade at anytime?
Yes you can cancel at anytime. Our standard contract only requires 30 day notice (See our terms and conditions). You can also add users or further modules as and when required.
What is SaaS?
SaaS stands for Software as a Service, which effectively means we provide our software ready for you to use. It is installed on our Cloud (group of servers) where we manage it for you. Which means all the IT issues are taken care of by us. You access the software using a web browser over the internet. It is basically the same as accessing your online email accounts or social networking site.
How secure is our data?
Our servers are totally locked down and hidden behind load balancers and firewalls. On top of this the servers can only be logged in to using a secure certificate, so brute force attacks are useless. All ports except HTTP and HTTPS are closed. The data is encrypted in transit and at rest and spread across many database tables and can only be read via a front end login, which you the client controls. SO, Our servers are 99.9% hack proof, and no one other than users who you have given access to can see the data.
We backup your data each night, the backups are broken into packets and encrypted and then stored on a secure hidden server at our offsite facility. Which Means, if we had a total disaster at our main data centre we could have you back up and running within 24 hours.
What is a seat, how does the licensing work?
A seat is an active place on the license, a user who is active can login. We do not restrict the number of concurrent logins, all active users can login at the same time. Users can be made active or inactive as required.
Can you host in our Country
By Default our hosting is UK based, however AWS (Amazon Web Services) have data centres throughout the world, so yes we can host on all continents.
